Thanks to the elevated segment of Waterloo Road and its massive concrete columns, there isn't much left of the untarnished view on St. Teresa's Church at Prince Edward Road West from 1973.
The 1973 photo was amazingly taken from the front walkway of my childhood apartment building at 122 Waterloo Road. The ground floor of the 4-story building, which wrapped around to PE Rd, included Honeymoon Bridal Salon, Tony's Hair Salon, Captain's Table restaurant, and our favorite: Coffee House. I remember the flyover being built in quite extraordinary speed - like within weeks.
