The Former Police Marine Headquarters Compound (completed in 1884) is a declared monument as it is one of the four oldest surviving government buildings in Hong Kong. Michael Chan Wai-Man's uncompromising gangster flick offers us a nice view of Des Voeux Road Central on the north shore of Hong Kong Island. The street was named after the 10th Governor of HK, Sir William Des Voeux. The busy intersection of Des Voeux Road Central, Chater Road and Pedder Street is a well chosen location to capture the district's pulsating ambience.

Queensway is a major road in the Admiralty area of Central, Hong Kong. The four skyscrapers are (from left to right) Pacific Place, Conrad Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La and the Queensway Government Office Building.
