Armour of God - Jezuitski trg, Zagreb

In the Summer of 2018, my wonderful girlfriend Madeleine and I went on an unforgettable road trip with our fire red '92 Volkswagen Passat. We drove through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Of course, I didn't want to annoy her with my constant search for filming locations, but I couldn't ignore the chance to see some Armour of God locations in real life. In the end, we did take one or two time-consuming detours, so that I could pursue my nerdy hobby. Thank you very much, Madeleine, for your patience and tolerance. I love you! 

Jezuitski trg ("jesuit square") is the place where the car chase begins. By the way, we didn't go to every place where the film was shot, so a second road trip will be inevitable. I hope this isn't too much of a shock for Madeleine.

Armour of God - Strossmartre, Zagreb

Armour of God - Ćirilometodska ulica, Zagreb

Jackie's racing down Ćirilometodska ulica in his futuristic Mitsubishi (the car of my dreams). In the 2nd screenshot we see the villainous motorcyclists and jeep drivers coming out of Vitezovićeva ulica ("ulica" translates as "street"). The area is part of Zagreb's beautiful upper town called Gornji Grad.

Armour of God - Prudi, Zagreb

Time to continue the Armour of God filming locations marathon. Today, it's all about the infamous bridge jump. The stunt was filmed in Croatia's beautiful capital Zagreb. We see Jackie and his hostile persecutors speeding down a street called Prudi and jumping over the elevated Avenija Veceslava Holjevca. The distinctive looking tower in the background of the first two screenshots belongs to the broadcasting centre of Croatian Radiotelevision HRT.
In the movie, the distance of the jumps looks massive. After seeing the location with my own eyes, I have even more respect and admiration for the stuntmen who flew over this broad dual-bridge.

Armour of God - Motovun Part I

Motovun is a picturesque village in central Istria, Croatia. Armour of God makes good use of it three different times, so I decided to split this article into three different parts. In the first one Jackie and Alan try to trick the monks with a fake armour. That leads us to a trigger-happy Lola Forner snipering from the church tower.
